DANCING KEEPS YOU FIT: TRIAL DANCE LESSON WITH TONIS TANZSCHULE

Since 2008 the Ruhr-University’s Neural Plasticity Lab has been investigating the positive effects of dancing on the ageing process. The result: dancing keeps you fit. Tonis Tanzschule and CLUB AGILANDO pick up on these findings and present a combination of dancing, rhythmic gymnastics and entertaining choreographies to watch and to try out.

SPIRAL DRAWINGS REVEAL DISEASE PROGRESSION:
PROJECT PRESENTATION INCLUDING LATEST DATA

Neurologists of the Ruhr-University have developed an impressively simple method to track the progression of Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease. In regular intervals, in their home or at a medical center, patients draw a spiral on a piece of paper, which they then fax to the RUB-Clinic. In a matter of minutes a computer then performs a standardized evaluation.

Contact persons:
PD Dr. Peter Kraus, Neurological Clinic, St. Josef Hospital, Bochum
