PUPIL COMPETITION:Nobody can do nothing, nobody can do everything!

Winners of the 2021 writing competition have been determined

How do talent, effort and motivation fit together, and what happens in the brain during learning? When do humans reach their limits, or does the brain learn without limits? And what does science actually say about this?

These were the questions that the RUB addressed to all students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades of Bochum schools last fall. Under the headline “Nobody can do nothing, nobody can do everything! What comes naturally to one person, others sometimes have to work hard to learn”, the young people were invited to share their stories, thoughts and insights. Whether it was a short story, a song lyric, a poem, a comic, a diary entry, a chat history or scientific research – everything was allowed and numerous entries received us.

Now the winners have been identified and the prizes awarded.
This year’s winners are:

  • 1st prize: Laurin Theisen with “No one is perfect!”
  • 2nd prize: Sophie Brenner with “Everyone has their own talents”
  • 3rd prize: Anna Clara König with “Dear diary”

Congratulations!
