The talk begins with a molecular interpretation of information leading from life sciences to information technology. Then we will discuss how information came into being on earth and in space. We will travel through time to see how information storage and processing has evolved in living organisms. The talk concludes with current insights into information processing in the human brain as well as possible malfunctions.
