Outreach Project
Summary
Our experience, during the past funding periods, has indicated that the fundamental questions addressed by research conducted by the SFB 874, as well as the resulting findings, are of great interest to the general public. For this reason, we have developed events and materials that meet the needs and interests of all defined target groups. The range of options comprises major events such as the “Brain Day” as well as regular lecture series such as the “Brain Café”. In addition we host pupils’ competitions, high school projects, as well as maintaining our web presence. By means of systematic training workshops, we encourage and educate young researchers to communicate their research to the public.
