Book Release:Handbook of in Vivo Neural Plasticity Techniques

Prof. Dr Denise Manahan-Vaughan is editor of the latest volume in the “Handbook of Behavioral Neuroscience” series

The book is entitled “Handbook of in Vivo Neural Plasticity Techniques” and is published in Academic Press. In this volume internationally renowned neuroscientists give an overview of the current methods and approaches of in vivo-research on neural plasticity. Among the authors there are nine principal investigators of the Collaborative Research Center 874.

Research of neural plasticity is an important step for understanding the development of learning, cognition and memory. The book is aimed at researchers as well as students looking for an introduction to state of the art- techniques in this field.

Discussions on the theoretical foundations of the methods are supplemented by clearly structured descriptions. “The book is intended to be a comprehensive laboratory companion for those who wish to deepen their theoretical knowledge of in vivo-techniques or to develop their practical skills in this area of systems neuroscience.”, says editor Prof. Dr Denise Manahan-Vaughan.
