Conference:7th International IGSN / SFB 874 Conference:
Cortical and subcortical representation of sensory and cognitive memory
On April 28th and 29th, twelve international scientists, attended the conference where, split into four workgroups, they presented their latest findings in the field of sensory and cognitive memory:

Eleven doctoral students from the IGSN and the Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) of the SFB 874 competently hosted the event and introduced our guests and their respective scientific fields and to the audience. You did a great job!
About 100 students and guests attended the lectures. For the frst time, the Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) of the SFB 874 invited PhD students from other graduate schools that are working in the same scientific field of sensory neuroscience. The speaker of the IGSN, Michael Hollmann and the speaker of the SFB 874 and Director of the IGSN, Denise Manahan-Vaughan welcomed PhD students from the SFB 654, University Medical Centre Hamburg Eppendorf, and of the SFB 1134 of the University of Heidelberg.
All students had the possibility to converse with the guest speakers and to present their own research at a poster presentation.
On the afternoon of the first conference day, IGSN faculty member Laurenz Wiskott, organized a “Tango Argentino” lesson. Laurenz Wiskott is an experienced Tango teacher and gave us an impressive insight into this fascinating dance. This was really fun and practical “Sensory Neuroscience”. Thank you so much!
